Dr. Sharam Ghodsi started Lasting Smiles in 1998 in Las Vegas with the goal to provide high-quality dentistry and caring service at affordable rates. We have since expanded to offices in Irvine and Pasadena. Our focus is dental implant treatment and cosmetic dentistry, although we provide full dental services at all our offices.

Dr. Ghodsi set up a state-of-the-art fully digital dental lab where our own technicians can design and fabricate your crowns, bridges, dentures or veneers using high-grade ceramics and porcelain. Our patients can participate in creating their dream smile as we have full control of the size, shape and shading of your new teeth. It also means fast turnaround times and extensive savings that we pass along to the patient.

IV Sedation to keep you relaxed during extensive procedures
Our doctors are all board-certified in the delivery of IV sedation, the most effective way of providing a relaxed experience. They also use oral sedation and nitrous oxide for shorter procedures.
With sedation, you’re conscious but in a dozing, relaxed state. Sedation is ideal for longer procedures, dental surgeries and for any patient that is afraid of the dentist. We also treat special needs patients using sedation.

Meet Dr. Sharam Ghodsi
FOUNDER AND LEAD IMPLANT AND COSMETIC DENTIST
Dr Sharam Ghodsi has over 36 years of experience. He is a highly trained and experienced in cosmetic, implant and sedation dentistry. He has completed more than 10,000 successful implant cases making him a leader in implant dentistry.
Dr. Ghodsi has studied with other leaders in implant dentistry, including Dr. Paulo Malo, the inventor of the original All-on-4 full-mouth implant procedure.
He has put in state-of-the-technology, procedures and protocols in each of the Lasting Smiles practices. His experienced team has been trained in these cutting-edge protocols, ensuring all our patients receive uniformly excellent treatment.
Dr. Ghodsi is actively involved in promoting quality dental care in dental study clubs and local organizations. He also completes numerous continuing education courses with an emphasis on cosmetic, implant and reconstructive dentistry.
Dr. Karina Ma
Born and raised in New York City, Dr. Ma developed a deep appreciation for science and art. This early passion naturally led her to a career in dentistry, where precision and patient care intersect.
She earned her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from the University of Hartford, then completed her dental training at the UNLV School of Dental Medicine. With advanced expertise in sedation dentistry, Dr. Ma helps patients feel comfortable and at ease, especially those with dental anxiety or complex treatment needs.
Known for her meticulous technique and compassionate approach, Dr. Ma combines cutting-edge technology with a steady hand to deliver optimal outcomes. Her mission is to restore function, confidence, and quality of life through exceptional surgical and sedation care while embracing the beauty of family, adventure, and lifelong learning.
Dr. Emilio Frias
Raised in San Fernando, Dr. Emilio Frias was drawn to dentistry for its blend of science, artistry, and service. He earned his B.S. in Biology from UCLA with a minor in Geography. He graduated with high honors from Universidad de la Salle Bajío with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Dr. Frias is known for his patient-centered approach. He takes time to understand each individual’s needs and provides personalized, high-quality care. He stays updated with the latest dental techniques through continuous education and professional involvement.
Outside of the office, he enjoys the outdoors with his family, music, sports, and volunteering at his church.
Dr. Vivi Baldwin
A native Greek-American, Dr. Baldwin was born and raised in Las Vegas. She attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where she received her undergraduate degree in biology, a minor in chemistry and her degree as Doctor of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Baldwin is passionate about cosmetic dentistry and oral surgery and is very skilled in all aspects of density. Dr. Baldinw's most important purpose is to create a warm, welcoming and comforting environment for all patients.
Dr. Baldwin remains up-to-date on the latest technologies and advancements in the field and utilizes laser treatment in her office. Along with her wonderful team, she ensures all patients are well-educated and cared for during their visit. Dr. Baldwin is very proficient in reading, writing and speaking Greek.
When she is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Baldwin enjoys lifting weights, road biking, and, when time allows, training for a Century (a 100-mile cycle ride). Above all, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two sons and Cinnamon, the family dog.
Linette Garcia
Her passion for dental care led her to pursue excellence at the Utah College of Dental Hygiene. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree and was valedictorian in December 2022. She worked as a dental hygienist in Utah for a year before settling back in Las Vegas in early 2024.
Dentistry isn’t just a profession for her; it’s a lifelong love affair. From her early days as a dental assistant to her current role as a dental hygienist, she has always been captivated by the art and science of oral health.
What sets her apart is her commitment to continuous learning and genuine desire to contribute to the well-being of our community. She believes that achieving great oral health is a collaborative effort and is here to guide you on that journey.
