Wake Up to a New Smile

It’s normal to feel anxiety about going to the dentist. Visiting the dentist does not have to be a stressful experience, though! An appointment with our Las Vegas sedation dentists is completely different than your standard dental visit. Most patients tell us they felt no pain or stress and many don’t remember their treatment. Take the stress out of dental work at Lasting Smiles Dental Care. Read more below about the sedation dentistry we offer, and give us a call or send us a message if you have any questions.

The Only Las Vegas Dentist Using Combo Sedation

We use combo sedation at Lasting Smiles, and we are the only Las Vegas sedation dentists to use this method. Combo sedation allows us to use less medication, which helps the patient wake up feeling refreshed with little to no recollection of their procedure. That means less stress and less pain for the patient.

Combo sedation has three parts:

  • Sedative pills
  • Laughing Gas
  • IV medications

We can use any of those three individually to sedate patients or use all three together for combo sedation. The combination of all three provides the most effective and safe results for patients.

Get All Your Dental Work Done in One Visit

Imagine getting all your dental work done without having to visit multiple facilities! Our sedation dentists offer complete treatment in one office: from root canals to cleanings to dental implants. Our facility is calming, and our wonderful staff will walk you through every step of the process.

Traditionally you would have to make multiple appointments at a dentist if you had more than one needed treatment. At Lasting Smiles Dental Care, once your sedation dentist administers your sedation medications, they can perform multiple treatments in one sitting. You will wake up with little to no pain.

Why Don’t All Dentists Use Combo Sedation?

In order to qualify to perform sedation dentistry, dentists must complete additional training to become proficient in sedation. Our dentists have completed that training.

Dental facilities that are used for sedation dentistry must be suitable for IV sedation and certified by the Nevada Board of Dental Examiners. Our facility is certified and has the equipment needed to perform combo sedation.

It takes additional time to prepare patients for sedation appointments. We treat fewer patients and schedule enough time for each patient to safely be sedated, receive treatment, and recover on their own time.

Sedation dentistry does have additional costs, and we reduce those costs so our patients can have a low stress and pain-free experience at the dentist.

Experience Faster Recovery

If patients choose to use combo or IV sedation for their treatment, then we can administer other medications like anti-inflammatory or pain medications directly to the IV line at the same time. This helps patients recover with less pain than they would without sedation.

Depending on the treatment, this can cut down on recovery time as well. Combo sedation is an incredible development in sedation dentistry that we are excited to offer at our Las Vegas office!
