What Form of Teeth Whitening is Right For You?
Seeing celebrities on television makes everyone envious of their pearly whites. While we buy over the counter products like toothpaste and whitening strips – that just isn’t going to cut it if your goal is to have a red carpet worthy smile. At Lasting Smiles, we offer expert advice and several forms of teeth whitening to fit every lifestyle and every budget. Need to know what form of teeth whitening is right for you? Here’s advice from Dr. Ghodsi on how to choose.
What Kind of Teeth Whitening is Right For You?
At Lasting Smiles we offer 3 types – Zoom, Kor, and at home whitening. There are differences in time and commitment level for each, so you should choose according to what you feel you can manage with your lifestyle.
- Kor (AKA: Deep Whitening) is hands down the best for getting teeth the whitest and lasting the longest. In other words – it is the best bang for your buck. The Kor system is a combination of home and office treatments. Patients will wear trays with solution at night for 2 weeks prior to a 2 hour office procedure. The home treatment trays make teeth more permeable in preparation for the office treatment as well as decrease the sensitivity which can be a problem with other teeth whitening systems.
- Zoom! Teeth Whitening has been a proven technique at Lasting Smiles for over 10 years. It works best for patients who live a hectic lifestyle and may be not be able or disciplined enough to wear the trays at night. It is also quicker, but won’t get your teeth as white as the Kor system.
- At Home Whitening is the least expensive whitening solution but not nearly as effective as the 2 outlined above. Custom made trays are built with spacers to keep whitening solutions in place for up to 8 hours. The at home whitening kit we offer will not ensure the same whiteness that the Kor system will, but it will be stronger and better than the over the counter solutions at your local grocery or department store.
No matter whether you have budget, time, or discipline constraints – there is a teeth whitening solution for everyone. Need further guidance on what to select? Give us a call and we are happy to help you determine what teeth whitening system is best for you.
